Description

Delicious roasted garlic cabbage steaks with a crispy exterior and buttery garlic flavor, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of green cabbage
  • 46 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the cabbage by removing wilted leaves and cutting it into 1-inch thick slices.
  3. Mince the garlic and mix it with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat each cabbage slice generously with the garlic mixture.
  5. Place the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs, if using, right after they come out of the oven.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, you can substitute olive oil with avocado oil. Adjust the amount of garlic according to your taste.
