Description
Delightful buttery croissants filled with succulent shrimp, garlic, and fresh herbs, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- Croissant dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 lb shrimp (fresh or frozen, peeled and deveined)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or dill (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the shrimp filling: In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Toss in the shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Season the shrimp, sprinkle in herbs, and add lemon juice. Stir and remove from heat to cool.
- Assemble the croissants by rolling out the dough, cutting it into triangles, and placing a spoonful of shrimp filling at the base before rolling up.
- Bake the croissants on a lined baking sheet, brushing the tops with melted butter. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm, with an extra squeeze of lemon if desired.
Notes
Ensure not to overstuff the croissants for best results, and let them cool slightly after baking to enhance flavors.
