Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh Blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine fresh blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt. Gently fold in the softened cream cheese until just combined.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry: Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the thawed puff pastry into a rectangle.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares, about 4×4 inches.
  4. Assemble the Danishes: Place a generous spoonful of the blueberry-lemon filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners toward the center and pinch to seal.
  5. Brush with egg wash: Beat one egg and brush it over the top of the pastries for that gorgeous golden color.
  6. Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the Danishes for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Cool and serve: Allow them to cool for a few minutes before enjoying.
