Description
A comforting and delicious Chicken and Broccoli dish that’s perfect for family meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by cutting it into bite-sized pieces and marinating it in soy sauce and cornstarch for about 15 minutes.
- Cook the chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat with oil until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from pan.
- Sauté garlic and ginger in the same pan for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and chicken broth, cover, and steam until bright green and tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Combine the chicken back into the skillet with a bit more soy sauce, cooking for an additional few minutes.
- Finish with sesame oil before serving.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnishing with sesame seeds or green onions.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure the chicken browns nicely. Fresh ingredients yield the best results.
