- 4 large eggs

- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for whipped cream)
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries by washing, hulling, and slicing them. Sprinkle with sugar and let sit for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
- Mix the cake flour and baking powder into the butter mixture, alternating with milk until just combined.
- Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for about 25 minutes.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Assemble the cake by layering cake, whipped cream, and strawberries, and repeat until all layers are used.
- Finish the top with remaining whipped cream and decorate with any leftover strawberries.
Notes
Allow cakes to cool for 10-15 minutes in pans before transferring to a rack. Use room-temperature ingredients for best results.
