Description

A rich and savory pasta dish combining tender steak with aromatic garlic and buttery goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot, cook pasta until al dente, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. Prepare the Steak: Season steak with salt and pepper, heat olive oil in a skillet, sear steak for 3–4 minutes on each side, then let rest.
  3. Sauté the Garlic and Mushrooms: In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic and mushrooms, cooking for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Combine the Dish: Add pasta and sliced steak back to the skillet, toss with remaining butter and reserved pasta water. Stir in herbs and Parmesan.
  5. Serve: Plate and garnish with extra Parmesan and herbs.

Notes

Allow the steak to rest before slicing for maximum juiciness.
