Ingredients

  • 1 package store-bought croissant dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons freshly ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Cream cheese or glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (or as suggested on your croissant dough packaging).
  2. Roll out the croissant dough on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle a layer of sugar, followed by cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Roll the dough tightly into a log.
  6. Slice the log into equal pieces and place on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Let them rise for about 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Finish with a glaze or cream cheese frosting if desired.
