Description
A deliciously rich and chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake that blends the classic flavors of traditional cookies with a cake-like texture, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy—about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in between. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined, being cautious not to over-mix.
- Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Frost as desired or serve plain.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut oil for butter. For a vegan option, replace eggs with a flax egg.
