- 4 boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs or fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prep the chicken: Rinse and pat dry, then season with salt, pepper, and half of your garlic.
- Sauté the garlic in butter or olive oil over medium heat until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Brown the chicken in a skillet for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden.
- Combine the browned chicken in a baking dish, layer with mozzarella cheese, and sprinkle herbs on top.
- Add breadcrumbs if desired, then bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve and enjoy after letting it rest for a few minutes.
