Description

A warm and comforting apple spice dump cake that is simple to prepare and perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, diced
  • 1 box yellow or spice cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Layer the diced apples in the bottom of the dish and sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over them.
  4. Add the dry cake mix evenly over the apple layer.
  5. Melt the butter and pour it over the cake mix layer.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel for extra indulgence. This cake can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
