  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken pieces in a bowl or zip-top bag, pour the marinade over it, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Sear the Chicken: Remove chicken from the marinade and sear it in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  5. Add the Marinade: Pour the leftover marinade over the chicken, reduce heat to medium, and let it bubble and thicken for about 5 minutes.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
