- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar until well combined.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken pieces in a bowl or zip-top bag, pour the marinade over it, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Sear the Chicken: Remove chicken from the marinade and sear it in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Add the Marinade: Pour the leftover marinade over the chicken, reduce heat to medium, and let it bubble and thicken for about 5 minutes.
- Serve and Garnish: Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
