Description
A delightful dish combining sweet honey garlic marinated steak and rotini pasta, perfect for gatherings or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (flank, sirloin, or ribeye)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 8 oz rotini pasta
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the steak: In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Add the steak, ensuring it is completely covered, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).
- Cook the pasta: While the steak marinates, cook the rotini according to package instructions in salted boiling water. Drain and set aside, tossing with a splash of olive oil.
- Sear the steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, remove steak from marinade, and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Make the sauce: Lower the heat, pour reserved marinade into the skillet, and let it simmer until thickened.
- Combine: Slice the cooked steak against the grain, return it to the skillet with the thickened sauce, and add the cooked rotini, tossing everything to combine.
- Serve and enjoy: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve promptly.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute steak with chicken or firm tofu. Ensure to marinate longer for enhanced flavor.
