- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup protein powder
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup almond butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the dry ingredients: in a large bowl, combine the flours, protein powder, and baking powder.
- Combine the wet ingredients: in a separate bowl, mix eggs, Greek yogurt, and sweetener.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures gently until a dough forms.
- Shape the dough into balls, poke a hole in each, and stretch it to form bagels.
- Prepare the almond butter swirl by mixing almond butter with a pinch of sweetener.
- Add the swirl on top of each bagel.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving warm with more almond butter if desired.
Notes
For a nut-free version, substitute almond butter with sunflower seed butter. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days or freeze for up to three months.
