Description

Delicious and nutritious Protein Bagels swirled with creamy almond butter, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup almond butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: in a large bowl, combine the flours, protein powder, and baking powder.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients: in a separate bowl, mix eggs, Greek yogurt, and sweetener.
  4. Combine the wet and dry mixtures gently until a dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into balls, poke a hole in each, and stretch it to form bagels.
  6. Prepare the almond butter swirl by mixing almond butter with a pinch of sweetener.
  7. Add the swirl on top of each bagel.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly before serving warm with more almond butter if desired.

Notes

For a nut-free version, substitute almond butter with sunflower seed butter. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days or freeze for up to three months.
