Description

Delicious Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls featuring a savory filling of steak, cheese, and vegetables, wrapped in a crispy shell.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup provolone cheese or Cheez Whiz
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onions and bell peppers until soft, about 5 minutes. Add steak and cook until browned. Stir in cheese until melted and season with garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Roll the egg rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon filling into the center. Fold the bottom corner over, then fold in the sides and roll tightly, sealing with water.
  3. Fry or bake: Heat oil in a skillet and fry egg rolls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Alternatively, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Pair with dipping sauces like sweet chili or ranch.

Notes

Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting during cooking. Use quality wrappers for best results.
