- 2 cups Fresh strawberries, hulled
- 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 cups Heavy cream
- 1 cup Whole milk
- 1 tablespoon Pure vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries: Wash and hull the strawberries, slice them in half, and toss with sugar. Let them sit for 30 minutes.
- Make the base: Transfer macerated strawberries to a blender. Add cream, milk, vanilla, and salt; blend until smooth.
- Chill the mixture: Pour into an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes.
- Churn the ice cream: Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (20-25 minutes).
- Freeze until firm: Transfer to a lidded container and freeze for 4-6 hours.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve in bowls or cones, topped with fresh strawberries or chocolate sauce.
Notes
Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor. You can also substitute heavy cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
