Description

Delicious and crispy golden-fried goat cheese balls, perfect for appetizers or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Fresh Goat Cheese
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko or traditional)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (basil or chives)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prep the cheese: Roll the goat cheese into bite-sized balls.
  2. Chill: Place the goat cheese balls on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Set up your breading station: Place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow dishes.
  4. Coat the balls: Dredge each cheese ball first in flour, then dip it in the egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat your oil: In a deep skillet, heat enough oil for frying, about 350°F.
  6. Fry: Carefully place the cheese balls in batches, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Drain and serve: Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For best results, chill cheese balls before frying. You can freeze them unbreaded for later use.
