  • 1/2 cup cold butter (cubed)
  • 3/4 cup milk

  • Salt and pepper (for seasoning)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the hot honey by combining honey with hot sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until mixed and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Sauté in a skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Alternatively, bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Create the biscuits by mixing flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbs form, then stir in milk just until combined. Drop onto floured surface and knead gently, then cut into rounds.
  4. Bake the biscuits at 450°F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the dish by slicing biscuits in half, adding chicken, and drizzling with hot honey.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with side pickles or salad.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh. Adjust hot honey spiciness according to taste.
