Ingredients

  • 4 slices of cheese (mozzarella, sharp cheddar, or pepper jack)
  • 4 slices of thick-cut bread (sourdough or whole grain)

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients by slicing your avocados and cheese, and having your bread ready.
  2. Assemble the sandwich by layering avocado on one slice of bread, adding cheese, then topping with the second slice.
  3. Heat the skillet on medium heat and melt some butter.
  4. Cook the sandwich in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the sandwich and toast the other side until the cheese melts and the bread crisps—another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately once both sides are golden, slice, and enjoy.
