- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour and pinch of salt, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped, toasted pecans.
- Form the dough into small balls, about one inch in diameter.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden on the bottom.
- Cool for 5 minutes and then roll in powdered sugar.
- Dust again when completely cool for a snowy finish.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute with vegan butter or coconut oil. You can also use almond flour for a nutty twist.
