Description

A delightful dessert made with layers of buttery crust, sweet bananas, and rich toffee, topped with whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups digestive biscuits or graham crackers, crushed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Combine crushed biscuits with melted butter and press into pie dish. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes and let cool.
  2. Make the toffee: In a saucepan, heat sweetened condensed milk on low, stirring constantly for 30-40 minutes until thick and caramel-colored. Pour into cooled crust.
  3. Add the bananas: Layer sliced bananas evenly over the toffee.
  4. Whip the cream: Beat heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add vanilla and whip to stiff peaks. Spread over bananas.
  5. Garnish: Shave chocolate or sprinkle cocoa on top. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut oil for butter, coconut-based condensed milk, and coconut cream for whipped cream.
