Description

The best brownie cookie treat that combines fudgy brownies and chewy cookies for a delightful dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, melt the butter and mix in both sugars until combined.
  3. Stir in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. In another bowl, cream together softened butter with both sugars, then add the egg and vanilla.
  7. Mix until fluffy and then stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the brownie batter into your prepared dish, spreading it evenly.
  9. Dollop spoonfuls of the cookie dough on top of the brownie batter.
  10. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick emerges with moist crumbs.
  11. Allow to cool in pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use vegan butter and applesauce instead of egg. Coconut sugar can replace granulated sugar.
