- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup eggnog
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add in the eggnog and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Form the dough into balls and roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers look soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra chewiness, do not over-bake the cookies. You can also chill the dough for a puffier texture.
