Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter, granulated and brown sugar together until fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Combine the dry and wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Shape tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Make a thumbprint in each ball using your thumb.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
  9. Cool slightly before re-indenting and filling with melted chocolate chips.
