Description

A dazzling dessert featuring a rich dark chocolate shell filled with silky coconut cream, capturing the essence of family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 teaspoons gelatin (or agar-agar for a vegetarian option)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Shell: Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler over low heat. Stir until smooth, then cool slightly and brush inside silicone dome molds. Let set in the fridge.
  2. Make the Coconut Filling: Combine coconut cream and powdered sugar. Add vanilla extract and mix until creamy. If using gelatin, dissolve in warm water and fold into the filling.
  3. Assemble the Domes: Fill chocolate shells with the coconut mixture. Seal the tops with melted chocolate and return to the fridge.
  4. Unmold and Serve: Remove the domes from the molds after chilling. Garnish with toasted coconut or chocolate sauce.

Notes

For a different flavor, semi-sweet chocolate can be used instead of dark chocolate. Additionally, unsweetened coconut can be a lower sugar option.
