- 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 24 chocolate kisses
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until fluffy and well-combined.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Gradually mix in the flour and baking soda until there are no dry spots left.
- Roll small portions of dough into 1-inch balls and coat them in granulated sugar.
- Place the cookie dough balls on prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart, and bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Immediately place a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie, pressing gently to embed it.
- Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for the best results. Feel free to substitute ingredients to fit dietary restrictions.
