Description

A delightful Plum Tart with a buttery crust and juicy plums, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 46 ripe plums, sliced
  • Additional granulated sugar (to taste)
  • Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form. Stir in the egg until just combined. Press the dough into the tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice plums and toss with sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Pour the plum mixture into the chilled crust, arranging the plums pleasingly.
  4. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and plums are bubbly.
  5. Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

Keep an eye on the crust to prevent it from browning too quickly. Use a mix of plums for enhanced flavor.
