- 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, sear chicken until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
- Add barbecue sauce, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until chicken is cooked through. Shred chicken and mix back in the sauce.
- In a medium saucepan, boil chicken broth. Gradually whisk in grits, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in butter and heavy cream, season with salt and pepper until creamy consistency is achieved.
- To serve, plate with creamy grits topped with shredded barbecue chicken.
