- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup high-quality chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients without over-mixing.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips and toffee bits.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until tops are golden and slightly soft in the center.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Chilling the dough before baking can help the cookies hold their shape. For a different flavor, try butterscotch chips instead of chocolate.
