Ingredients

- 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
- 4 cups of water
- Honey, to taste
- Fresh lemon juice, to taste
Instructions
- Boil 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan.
- While the water heats, peel and thinly slice your fresh ginger.
- Once the water reaches a rolling boil, add the ginger. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the pot from heat, strain the ginger pieces, and pour into teacups.
- Add honey and lemon juice to taste, stir well, and enjoy!
Notes
For a deeper flavor, roast the ginger before adding it to the water. Avoid using dried ginger for the best taste.
