- 6 cups Chex cereal (Rice or Corn)
- 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Sea salt for garnish
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients and prepare your workspace.
- Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and corn syrup until it boils. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour peanut butter mixture over Chex cereal in a bowl and fold until coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the pan and press down evenly.
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread over the Chex mixture.
- If desired, sprinkle sea salt on top while the chocolate is still wet.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
- Serve and enjoy!
