Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Peel, core, and chop the apples, then sauté them in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and spices.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with granulated sugar until smooth, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, whisking until combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the sautéed apples.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar and a bit of milk.
