Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Peel, core, and chop the apples, then sauté them in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and spices.
  4. In another bowl, beat the eggs with granulated sugar until smooth, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, whisking until combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the sautéed apples.
  7. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar and a bit of milk.
