- 24 fresh mushrooms (white button or cremini)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean mushrooms gently with a damp paper towel and remove stems.
- In a skillet, sauté the chopped mushroom stems until soft.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sautéed stems, cream cheese, chicken, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the filling and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Arrange stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until mushrooms are tender and tops are golden.
- Let cool before serving and garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
Do not overstuff the mushrooms and watch the baking time closely to prevent them from becoming mushy.
