- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter; mix until incorporated.
- Stir in eggs one at a time and add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly underbaked.
- Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil for butter. For a vegan twist, use flax eggs.
