- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

- 1 to 2 cups chocolate chips
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt; gradually add this to the wet ingredients, stirring gently to combine.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop dollops of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Feel free to substitute chocolate chips with peanut butter morsels or nuts for variety.
