Description

Chewy and gooey Secret Kisses Cookies filled with rich, melted chocolate and a hint of vanilla—perfect for sharing and creating memories.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 to 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt; gradually add this to the wet ingredients, stirring gently to combine.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop dollops of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Feel free to substitute chocolate chips with peanut butter morsels or nuts for variety.
