Ingredients
- Cream cheese or butter
- All-purpose flour
- Granulated sugar
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Heavy cream
- Dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa)
- Salted butter
- Granulated and brown sugar
- Sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Tart Crust: In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese (or butter), sugar, and flour until crumbly. Press into a tart pan and bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until golden. Let it cool.
- Make the Salted Caramel: Melt granulated sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until it turns deep amber. Remove from heat and whisk in butter and cream; add a pinch of sea salt. Let cool before pouring over the tart shell.
- Prepare the Chocolate Filling: Heat heavy cream to simmering, pour over chopped dark chocolate, let sit, then whisk until smooth. Pour over the salted caramel layer.
- Chill and Serve: Set the tart in the fridge for at least 2 hours until firm, then remove from pan, slice, and serve with a sprinkle of sea salt on top.
Notes
For an added touch, drizzle chocolate or caramel sauce on top before serving.
