Description

Ingredients

  • Cream cheese or butter
  • All-purpose flour
  • Granulated sugar
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Heavy cream
  • Dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa)
  • Salted butter
  • Granulated and brown sugar
  • Sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tart Crust: In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese (or butter), sugar, and flour until crumbly. Press into a tart pan and bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until golden. Let it cool.
  2. Make the Salted Caramel: Melt granulated sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until it turns deep amber. Remove from heat and whisk in butter and cream; add a pinch of sea salt. Let cool before pouring over the tart shell.
  3. Prepare the Chocolate Filling: Heat heavy cream to simmering, pour over chopped dark chocolate, let sit, then whisk until smooth. Pour over the salted caramel layer.
  4. Chill and Serve: Set the tart in the fridge for at least 2 hours until firm, then remove from pan, slice, and serve with a sprinkle of sea salt on top.

Notes

For an added touch, drizzle chocolate or caramel sauce on top before serving.
