Description

Delightful heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies bursting with gooey chocolate and a hint of vanilla, perfect for sharing love on special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • Optional: Nuts, Coconut Flakes, Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, and then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually mix into the butter mixture.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and any optional add-ins.
  6. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the cookies or shape them by hand.
  7. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown on the edges but soft in the center.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes before cutting for better shape retention during baking. Don’t over-bake to keep the cookies soft.
