- ½ cup melted butter
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ⅔ cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Whipped cream for topping
- Chocolate shavings or crushed peppermint for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the graham cracker crust by mixing crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and sugar. Press into a pie dish and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Let it cool.
- In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, and salt over low heat. Gradually add milk, whisking until thickened (5–7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold half into the chocolate mixture, then fold in the remaining cream.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust, smooth the top, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream and garnished with chocolate shavings or crushed peppermint.
