- 4 Salmon fillets (fresh with skin on)
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons Honey
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 Lemon (juiced)
- Fresh herbs (Parsley or Chives, for garnish)
- Olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then stir in honey and minced garlic, followed by Cajun seasoning. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, place salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy. Flip and spoon honey butter over the top, cooking for another 4-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon just before removing from heat.
- Plate the salmon, drizzling any remaining honey butter on top and garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
Serve with sautéed greens and asparagus for a complete meal. Can substitute skinless salmon or honey with maple syrup.
