A quick and delightful dish featuring salmon glazed with a sweet and savory brown sugar soy sauce marinade, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Salmon Fillets
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • Green Onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Mix until sugar dissolves.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and marinate with the mixture for 10 minutes.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Optionally, add a splash of vegetable oil.
  4. Place salmon skin-side down in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Baste salmon with half of the reserved marinade and cook until bubbling.
  6. Flip salmon, pour remaining marinade over top, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until done.
  7. Serve garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, firm tofu can be used as a substitute for salmon. Pair with sautéed greens or jasmine rice.
