Description

Delightful heart-shaped cookies with a rich buttery flavor, perfect for sharing and creating sweet memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Divide the dough into two or three equal parts and roll into logs about 1.5-2 inches thick. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least two hours.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Unwrap the chilled dough, slice into ¼-inch rounds, and shape hearts with a cookie cutter if desired.
  6. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

You can customize these cookies with sprinkles or drizzle chocolate on top for extra sweetness.
