Description
A delightful dish of tender chicken marinated in fragrant lemongrass, garlic, and ginger, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless chicken breast or thighs
- 2 stalks fresh lemongrass, smashed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable or sesame oil
- Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prep Your Ingredients: Mince garlic and ginger, and slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Smash the lemongrass to release its flavors.
- Marinate the Chicken: Combine chicken, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and lemongrass in a bowl. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the Pan: Heat oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Cook the Chicken: Add marinated chicken to the pan and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Finish Up: Remove chicken from the skillet, sauté any leftover marinade for a minute, and drizzle it over the chicken.
- Serve and Garnish: Serve warm, garnished with cilantro or green onions, and enjoy with jasmine rice or a fresh salad.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the skillet for a perfect sear. Marinate the chicken longer for deeper flavors.
