A delightful dish of jammy eggs combined with buttery chili and creamy garlic yogurt, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes or 1 fresh chili, chopped
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs by filling a pot with water and bringing it to a gentle boil. Carefully add the eggs and cook for 6–7 minutes. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the chili flakes. Stir for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, mix yogurt with minced garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Gently crack and peel the eggs under cool running water.
  5. Slice the eggs in half, drizzle with chili butter, add dollops of garlic yogurt, and sprinkle with fresh herbs.
  6. Serve immediately with crusty bread or toast.

Notes

Adjust the spice level of the chili butter according to your taste. Fresh herbs add a nice touch to the dish.
