Description

A delightful blend of juicy shrimp and tender scallops in a rich and creamy garlic sauce served over pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, raw, deveined
  • 1 lb scallops
  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by cleaning the seafood and patting it dry.
  2. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and scallops, cooking until shrimp turns pink and scallops are golden brown.
  5. Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream, and add Parmesan cheese, adjusting thickness with reserved pasta water.
  6. Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine.
  7. Finish with fresh herbs and lemon juice before serving.
  8. Plate and enjoy warm with a side salad or garlic bread.

Notes

Keep an eye on the seafood to avoid overcooking. Toast garlic lightly for added flavor.
