- 1 lb shrimp, raw, deveined
- 1 lb scallops
- 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by cleaning the seafood and patting it dry.
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and scallops, cooking until shrimp turns pink and scallops are golden brown.
- Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream, and add Parmesan cheese, adjusting thickness with reserved pasta water.
- Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine.
- Finish with fresh herbs and lemon juice before serving.
- Plate and enjoy warm with a side salad or garlic bread.
