Description

Delicious Twix Thumbprint Cookies with a buttery base, filled with chocolate and caramel, perfect for sharing and creating sweet memories.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart. Use your thumb to make an indention in the center of each ball.
  5. Bake for around 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are pale golden.
  6. Immediately press a few chocolate chips into each thumbprint, followed by a drizzle of caramel sauce. Return to the oven for another 2 minutes to melt the chocolate.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Experiment with substitutions like coconut oil instead of butter for a dairy-free option or use dark chocolate for a unique flavor.
