Description

Delicious Sweet Chili Halloumi Wraps that combine grilled halloumi cheese, fresh vegetables, and a drizzle of sweet chili sauce in a warm tortilla, making for a perfect family meal.


Ingredients

  • 200g halloumi cheese, sliced
  • 4 flour or whole wheat tortillas
  • 100ml sweet chili sauce
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • Fresh lettuce or greens
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh cilantro or mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the halloumi into thick pieces, about half an inch thick.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  3. Grill the halloumi slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Prepare your vegetables by slicing the bell peppers and cucumbers into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Remove the halloumi from the skillet and let it cool briefly. Warm the tortillas in the microwave or on a dry skillet.
  6. Assemble the wraps: Lay a tortilla flat, add fresh veggies, grilled halloumi, and drizzle with sweet chili sauce.
  7. Roll the tortilla tightly, folding in the sides, and secure with a toothpick if desired.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
