Description

A sophisticated yet simple appetizer featuring creamy brie encased in a crunchy pistachio crust, drizzled with sweet fig jam.


Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 cup pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the brie into rounds or wedges.
  3. Chop pistachios finely and place in a shallow dish. In another bowl, whisk together egg and milk for the wash.
  4. Dip each round of brie into the egg wash, allowing excess to drip off. Press each side into chopped pistachios to coat.
  5. Place the brie rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden and gooey.
  6. Let them cool for a minute and drizzle fig jam over the top.
  7. Transfer to a serving platter and serve warm with crusty bread or fresh fruit.
