- 1 package Oreo cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz semi-sweet or white chocolate, for coating
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Crush the Oreos in a food processor or zip-top bag until fine crumbs.
- Combine Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese until a cohesive dough forms.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Roll the chilled mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Melt the chocolate coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off before returning to the tray.
- Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top while the chocolate is still wet.
- Chill until the chocolate is firm.
