- 1 cup fresh or pre-cooked lobster meat
- 2 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 slices Gruyère cheese
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prep the Lobster: If using fresh lobster, steam until opaque, cool, and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- Flavor the Butter: Mix softened butter with minced garlic.
- Assemble the Sandwich: On two slices of bread, spread garlic butter, layer cheese, lobster, another slice of cheese, and top with the second piece of bread.
- Grill: Preheat a skillet, add oil if desired, then grill the sandwich until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve: Remove from skillet, let rest briefly, slice in half, and serve hot with pickles or soup.
Notes
Use low heat for a crispy exterior and melted interior. Don’t overcrowd the skillet.
