- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 (3.9 oz) box chocolate pudding mix
- 1 (15.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- Whipped cream for topping
- Maraschino cherries for garnish
- Optional: chopped nuts, chocolate syrup, or coconut flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Peel and slice the bananas into even rounds and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine chocolate pudding mix and milk; whisk until thickened.
- Layer the sliced bananas at the bottom of the baking dish.
- Pour the prepared chocolate pudding over the bananas.
- Sprinkle the yellow cake mix on top without mixing.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving; top with whipped cream and optional toppings.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute eggs with flax eggs or applesauce, use a plant-based butter, and a dairy-free whipped topping.
