A unique blend of sweet and spicy, these muffins combine the richness of a cookie with the crunch of pretzels, enhanced by Flamin’ Hot seasoning.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 23 tablespoons Flamin’ Hot seasoning
  • 1 cup crushed pretzel pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly.
  2. Cream together unsalted butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, incorporating fully before the next addition. Mix in milk or buttermilk until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and Flamin’ Hot seasoning.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until no flour streaks remain. Fold in crushed pretzel pieces.
  6. Distribute the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling them about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Enjoy warm, or store in an airtight container for later.

Notes

For extra crunch, sprinkle some crushed pretzel pieces on top before baking. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
